Youth Leaders International

Youth Leaders International is a 501(c)3 organization based in Spencerville, MD. YLI's websites are www.leaders.org and www.leaders.edu. It is known my the abbreviation YLI.

YLI was founded in 1996 by Michael and Jerry Samet.[1] It is headquartered at the Samet Chateau.

Future Programs

YLI is having a 2011 Global Leaders Program in Washington, D.C. July 23–30, 2011.[2]

Previous Programs

YLI has run programs taking place in June - August since 1997.[3] In 1997 YLI went to Ireland.[4] In 2002 and 2003 at YLI's World Leaders Conference, YLI partnered with Workable Peace.[5] In 2003 YLI participated in Community Volunteer Day to Beautify DC Public Schools that was run by Service For Peace.[6] YLI also had Kathleen Kennedy Townsend speak in 2003 at their Life Skills Training program.

Chapters

Minnesota - YLI has a chapter in Minneapolis, MN that attended the program in 2005.[7] Peru - YLI has had several groups from Markham College in Peru.[8]
